The Florida Mutual Aid Radio Communications System is a statewide deployable communications asset comprised of 8 teams strategically located throughout the state. Collectively, these teams make up the Statewide MARC System, capable of deploying into affected areas to replace damaged communications infrastructure or provide additional capacity for overloaded systems. Although managed through ESF 4/9, MARC teams work in tandem with the Florida Communications Unit under ESF2.
The MARC System has successfully deployed to hurricanes, wild fires, planned events, and domestic security incidents throughout Florida and have even responded out of state through EMAC request.
