Aerospace and Defense Strategic Plan

Oklahoma boasts a robust legacy in space, aviation and defense. For over 70 years, the state has played host to what are now some of the largest military and commercial aircraft maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) centers in the world. The manufacturing labor base to support these operations has historically accounted for most of Oklahoma’s growth in the aerospace and defense (A&D) industries.

Aerospace + Defense Supply Chain Support

The Oklahoma Department of Commerce has partnered with the Oklahoma Manufacturing Alliance to provide Oklahoma manufacturers with a technology-driven competitive advantage – Connex Oklahoma. This supply chain database allows manufacturers to find alternate suppliers, view their supply chain visually, avoid single-supplier risks, financial threats, companies on government blacklists, and other vulnerabilities, as well as finding local suppliers by searching thousands of Oklahoma manufacturers and filtering the results to match specific needs.
