Exhibitor Advisory Committee

The Exhibitor Advisory Committee (EAC) was established to advise the SOHO Exhibitor Board regarding issues and concerns affecting exhibitors. Exhibitors are encouraged to share their viewpoints and concerns with the SOHO Exhibitor Board or Exhibitor Advisory Committee Members.

The purpose of the EAC is to foster communication between SOHO and its exhibitors, specifically to:

  • Review/comment on current and proposed exhibit regulations and practices affecting exhibitors.
  • Advise ways in which the SOHO Expo could be improved for exhibitors and attendees.
  • Identify additional information useful to exhibitors.
  • Provide a forum/survey for exhibitor feedback.

The EAC is comprised of members from varied exhibit booth sizes. Members of the EAC may serve up to a four-year term, with a minimum of a two-year commitment. There is no term limit. The committee meets in person, once a year, on Friday during the annual meeting after lunch (time to be provided). If you cannot attend, an alternative representative from your company may attend in your place.

Also, conference calls conducted throughout the year are an opportunity to discuss various topics and provide feedback to the SOHO Exhibitor Board on important decisions. EAC members must take an active role in this process. EAC members represent the point of view of fellow exhibitors. Exhibitors are encouraged to express their viewpoints and concerns through EAC representatives or directly to the SOHO Exhibitor Board.

On-boarding of new exhibitors is key to the success of the committee. Please ensure you commit some time to getting to know new exhibitors during the annual meeting.

  • The calendar year begins in January.
  • EAC is comprised of approximately 12 members. This is a non-compensated role.
  • An EAC logo is approved for use with any of your promotional materials (download here).
  • Committee members must be in good standing and exhibiting and/or attending the trade show yearly.

If you would like to become a member of the EAC, please complete the Application and return it to Belinda Melder, bmelder@sohoonline.org or Jauron Valentine, jvalentine@sohoonline.org
