  • Neuronal Cell Isolation from Rodent Peripheral and Central Nervous Systems 
    In this webinar, Roopa Ravichandar, PhD, and Sam Faraguna  shared their research on protocols for isolating and culturing neuronal cells. Program highlights included dissociation and immunopanning protocols of dorsal root ganglion neurons and a demonstration of how retinal ganglion cells are a powerful model for investigating factors that regulate neuronal electrical properties during eye development. The session featured practical guidance on effective isolation techniques using immunopanning to obtain highly purified neuronal cultures. 

    Using Enzymes to Digest Muscle and Cardiac Tissue Models 
    In this webinar, Alis Balayan and Tom Molley, PhD, presented their research which focus on muscle regeneration and cardiac model systems. This session will also highlight both broad and specific tips on how to best optimize dissociation protocols for a variety of musculoskeletal tissues and non-muscle tissues.

  • Ribonuclease U2, Recombinant

    Ustilago sphaerogena ribonuclease U2 produced recombinantly in yeast (Komagataella phaffi-previously P. pastoris) to decrease contaminant nucleases and proteases and eliminate potential pathogens associated with animal-sourced materials.
    Ribonuclease U2 is an endonuclease that hydrolyzes the phosphodiester bonds of 3’-linked ribonucleotides, resulting in nucleoside 3’-phosphates and 3’-phosphooligonucleotides ending in Ap or Gp with 2’, 3’-cyclic intermediates. It is purine selective with a preference for adenosine and has the following order of cleavage specificity (A>G>C>U). Because of this, it is helpful in RNA sequencing and RNA modification and mapping applications. Optimal activity is observed at pH 4.5.
    Stability/Storage: Stable for one year at 2-8oC. Store at 2-8oC

  • Ribonuclease T2, Recombinant

    Aspergillus oryzae Ribonuclease T2 is a member of the RNase T2 family of endonucleases that are present in a wide variety of microbial, plant and animal species. In contrast to Aspergillus oryzae Ribonuclease T1, which is an exclusively guanylic-acid specific endonuclease, all RNase T2-like enzymes are essentially base non-specific. 
    Uses: Ribonuclease T2 is often used for 3’ analysis of RNA and RNase protection assays.

    Micrococcal nuclease catalyzes cleavage of both DNA and RNA to yield 3'-nucleotides. It exhibits exo- and endo-5'-phosphodiesterase activities. nt.

    Nuclease S1 specifically hydrolyzes both terminal and internal phosphodiester bonds of single-stranded DNA and RNA.
