Software for Chemistry & Materials (SCM) develops advanced simulation software for predictive modeling of materials at the atomic scale. Our Amsterdam Modeling Suite (AMS) enables researchers to study thin film growth, surfaces, interfaces, and deposition-related materials, providing insight into structure, stability, and performance during and after deposition processes.
AMS combines quantum-chemical methods and atomistic simulations to help connect deposition conditions to resulting material properties, with applications in surface engineering, coatings, and semiconductor materials. Beyond growth and structure, the software also supports analysis of mechanical, tribological, and chemical properties, enabling a more complete understanding of functional thin films.
