Welcome to the California City Off Road Recreation Program!

California City is known as the Recreation Capitol of East Kern!  With over 1800 miles and 4500 acres of open riding, trails and routes leading to Jawbone Canyon and Randsburg, and nearby areas including Rand Mountain, Cuddleback Dry Lake, Dove Springs and Johannesburg, California City provides a vast area for all Off Road enthusiasts.  Centrally located, you will find Borax Bill Park, an OHV park that houses 6 RV power and water hook-ups, showers, restrooms, picnic tables, BBQ pits, RV water fill-up stations and shade structures.  Borax Bill Park Station also provides a visitor center and first aid station.  CC10 route will take you into the city business district for supplies, fuel and entertainment. Conveniently located, you will find a refuse station as you leave town.  California City continues to provide legal riding opportunities to our visitors through the OHV Permit Program.  Seasonal riding permits are available online though PayPal or you can conveniently purchase them at the Borax Bill Park Station.  We are an OHV friendly community and have many locations on Cal City Blvd, to assist you as well for your permit needs.
