NASA ECR Machine Learning Working Group
This is a community-led group of scientists seeking to empower early career professionals to become familiar with various machine learning techniques with the goal of implementing these into their research in a virtual setting. Meetings consist of hearing how machine learning is being used in the community, sharing of resources, as well as providing space for discussion on various ML methods. Research areas have previously spanned topics such as atmospheric/ocean science, climate science, and space science. The motivation for this group came from the SnowEx team within NASA's Climate Change Research Initiative and has grown into a working group that has academia and inter-agency interactions.
