Explore our open-source tools and data! Test drive our resources for yourself and find out how they can advance your research. Members of the collaboration will be available to answer questions.

The International Brain Laboratory is a consortium of experimental and theoretical neuroscientists comprised of 21 groups across multiple countries. Our mission is to combine the expertise and resources from this large group of scientists to answer questions in neuroscience that cannot be tackled by any one laboratory on its own, and to support the larger field of neuroscience by distributing open-source experimental designs and committing to the dissemination of all data that are obtained by our joint experiments.

We have developed a standardized paradigm for choice behavior in mice, and are recording, analyzing, and modeling neural activity throughout the brain to understand the mechanisms by which mice solve this task. We aim to provide a novel model for collaboration in neuroscience by standardizing behavioral models of mouse decision making, and sharing the standardized hardware designs, software resources, and resulting data freely with the worldwide community.
