With its interdisciplinary approach, Danish Neuroscience Center - DNC has been driving much of the ambitious neuroresearch in Aarhus, DK. We are now proposing a DNC 2.0 designed by Bjarke Ingels which can take neuroscience research to the next level.

Danish Neuroscience Center - DNC was established in 2009 as unique brain research in Aarhus, Denmark, and has since proliferated and expanded. Cross-disciplinary collaboration is one of our key success factors with DNC bringing together clinicians and researchers from a wide range of fields. We now wish to realize the new "DNC 2.0", an architectural masterpiece by Bjarke Ingels Group - BIG to stimulate dialogue and cooperation between DNC researchers, hospital physicians, patients, relatives, industry, and the public. As one of the first places in the world, the new building will unify psychiatric and somatic neuro research under one roof to deliver groundbreaking results and new treatments for our patients with neurologic and mental brain diseases. Inspired by the brain itself, the design of DNC 2.0 will connect people across floors, while also providing spaces that invite to mind-wandering, during which transformative ways of understanding the brain and its diseases may emerge. We are eager to interact with creative individuals and groups who are interested in sharing ideas and collaborating towards shared goals within neuroscience.
