Special Optics is a precision optical design and manufacturing firm specializing in high-performance assemblies, custom microscope objectives, laser optics, and low-volume prototype projects requiring ultra-precise manufacturing tolerances.
Our expertise includes:
- Multi-element, high numerical aperture (NA) assemblies with diffraction-limited performance
- Custom objectives designed for single-wavelength sampling with moderate resolution needs, built using commercial tolerance assembly techniques
Our designs span working distances of 0.3 to 55mm, cover wavelengths from visible (390-750nm) to NIR (700-1400nm), can be modified for aqueous, oil and vacuum environments with housings of stainless, ultem or titanium.
