RA has become more widespread among the elderly, and with the worldwide population increasingly aging, RA is soon going to present a larger problem for to health care system - diagnostic ultrasound automation will play a key role in solving this challenge.
Who is ARTHUR?
ARTHUR is a Rheumatoid Arthritis Ultrasound Robot that interacts directly with the patient saving valuable time and resources, enabling physicians to spend critical time with their patients.
ARTHUR will capture high quality ultrasound images in grayscale and colour flow of 22 joints per hand. This includes 10 finger joints and 1 wrist joint (MCP, PIP, DIP and RC-IC joint).
ARTHUR offers an uniform and automatic process to capture the images and all images are quality ensured by a built in Artificial Intelligence module. This ensures high consistency and quality in ARTHURs images every time - there is no operator dependence in quality.
Patients in our studies and surveys are happy to have ARTHUR as a part of their monitoring and up to 92% found the experience of being scanned by ARTHUR as good or very good.
Who is DIANA?
The assistant tool for evaluating and monitoring RA disease activity in ultrasound images.
The DIANA (Diagnosis Aid Network for Rheumatoid Arthritis) software system is based on state-of-the-art neural networks used for image analysis. The networks have been trained on thousands of ultrasound images, which have been acquired and labelled by expert rheumatologists. The system can classify the degree of RA according to the EULAR-OMERACT standards for diagnosis of Rheumatoid Arthritis.
DIANA is the assistant tool for evaluating and monitoring the disease activity in the joints scanned by ARTHUR or images of similar quality and attributes.
