Established in 2019, the International Myositis Society
(iMyoS) is a non-profit organization committed
to advancing the understanding, diagnosis, and
treatment of myositis worldwide. Serving as a central
hub, iMyoS unites clinicians, researchers, and patient
advocates to foster interdisciplinary collaboration
and innovation.
Our Core Objectives
■ Standardizing Care
Develop and harmonize diagnostic criteria and standards of care for myositis, collaborating with international and national societies such as AAN, EULAR, ACR, and EAN.
■ Educational Advancement
Promote education and interdisciplinary training programs for
myositis specialists.
■ Research Promotion
Facilitate funding and support for clinical, translational, and basic research on myositis.
■ Global Conferences
Organize the biennial Global Conference on Myositis (GCOM) to disseminate cutting-edge research and clinical practices.

Bridging neurology, rheumatology, dermatology, and other specialties to provide comprehensive care.

Partnering with organizations like IMACS, MYONET, The Myositis Association (TMA), and ERN EURONMD
to unify efforts in research and patient care.

Publishing annual issues in the “Clinical and Experimental Rheumatology” journal, featuring consensus papers,
guidelines, and research findings.
