Australia’s defence industry supports the advanced needs of the Australian Defence Force (ADF) that deploys across the world.
This includes operations and exercises with close partners of Australia such as the United States and the United Kingdom; within
the context of the Five Power Defence Arrangements; and more recently, training Ukrainian recruits in the United Kingdom. The
technologies the ADF uses are battle-proven and meet the highest standards of safety and survivability.

The Australian Government’s Defence spending has increased to approximately $52.5 billion for 2023-24 in response to the
findings and recommendations outlined in National Defence: Defence Strategic Review, published in April 2023. The Australian
Government has announced a $19 billion investment over the next four years in order to implement the immediate priorities
identified in the Defence Strategic Review.
