Vet Centers 

  • Community-based counseling centers that provide a wide range of social and psychological services, including professional counseling to eligible Veterans, service members, including National Guard and Reserve components, and their families. Individual, group, marriage and family counseling is offered in addition to referral and connection to other VA or community benefits and services

Caregiver Support Program

  • The Department of Veteran Affairs (VA) Caregiver Support Program (CSP) offers clinical services to caregivers of eligible and covered Veterans enrolled in the VA health care system. The program’s mission is to promote the health and well-being of family caregivers who care for our Nation’s Veterans, through education, resources, support, and services. 


Research and Development

  • VA Office of Research and Development (ORD) supports health research at more than 115 VA facilities nationwide. Specially designated VA research centers conduct basic and clinical studies that support concentrated efforts by groups of scientists studying diseases such as AIDS, alcoholism, schizophrenia, and rehabilitation efforts.
