Description
Building for cloud-native network functions (CNFs), to add intelligence to converging (wireless and wired) networks, is an activity that happens as close as possible to the network edge – and the details are the subject of this workshop. Moderated by CableLabs' Randy Levensalor, the session begins with Andrii Vladyka summarizing the role of CNFs and edge compute in access network convergence. Included: Practical tips gleaned from deploying Distributed Access Architectures (DAAs) and Passive Optical Networks (PONs.) Next, Charter’s Achari Kakinada, examines different aspects of edge computing, including edge analytics, derivation of insights, anonymization of data and various transport and network break out options.
