This workshop is all about business cases for the Internet of Things (IoT) and from Telecom for Healthcare (“T4H”). Sudheer Dharanikota, with Duke Tech Solutions, opens the session with an architectural overview of the T4H landscape, including in-home components, sensor infrastructure needs, and back-office components. Next, Charter’s Parmjit Dhillon details a proof of concept that blends computer vision, edge and near computing to detect and monitor pedestrian and vehicular movement at smart intersections.
