Description
The pandemic created a fundamental change in how we view our home connectivity, both in terms of reliability and quality. Simultaneously, an aging population and a consequent need for increased home health care gave rise to two SCTE working groups, one for Aging in Place and the other for Telehealth. This workshop covers both angles. CommScope’s CTO / Home Networks, Charles Cheevers, returns to the Expo stage to relate the results of a 2,000-person work-from-home survey, resulting in some interesting considerations about how to optimize WiFi performance and security, hybrid access gateways, and augmentation. Next, Duke Tech Solutions' Sudheer Dharanikota delves into the Telecom for Health (T4H) opportunity for operators, with use cases for improved healthcare metrics that demonstrate the value cable operators bring to the table.
