Jatin Desai is a member of Office of the CTO (OCTO) for Communications and Technology Business Unit at Cognizant Technology Solutions. Jatin is involved in creating and selecting forward looking and innovative technology solutions that can ‘move the needle’ for our customers and our industry.

Jatin joined Cognizant in 2014 as part of acquisition of itaas, Inc where he was a founding partner and Chief Technology Officer. Jatin served as the chief architect and technical visionary for the company, guiding the company’s project and product development and assisting clients with their technical strategies.

Jatin has been responsible for creating and leading a team of talented engineers across various geographic locations and delivering products that include diverse and constantly changing technologies. At itaas, he led the engineering team to deliver on the vision of revenue-generating interactive services such as transactional TV, multi-screen and multi-platform applications.

Jatin has more than 30 years of engineering experience and technical leadership honed at Scientific-Atlanta, Sun Microsystems, Digital Equipment Corporation and Fidelity Management & Research. At Scientific-Atlanta, Jatin was a key contributor for the architecture, design and development of various digital network components. He also developed the network control system to manage the first-ever digital broadcast network created specifically for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. In the past, he has been selected for the “Digital Hot List” by CableFAX Magazine as one of the best and brightest executives from the world of cable, online video and technology. In 2014, CableFAX honored him as one of the most influential minorities in the industry.

Jatin holds a Master of Science in Computer Science from Worcester Polytechnic Institute and a Bachelor of Engineering in Electronics Engineering from Maharaja Sayajirao University in India.
