Speaker(s)
Description
With the proliferation of virtualized network functions (VNFs) and a greater need for automation, the converged networks of tomorrow require a novel management framework to enable advanced functionalities. This session, moderated by Charter’s Christopher Burke, showcases the benefits of converging networks and is designed to help cable MSOs strategically decide the right level of convergence. Robert Hallahan, of Nokia Cloud & Network Services, explores why, how, and where to converge your fixed and mobile networks. He shares why it is strategically important to achieve the right level of convergence, where and how to converge, and the advantages and benefits of convergence. Then CableLabs’ Rahil Gandotra presents a convergence use case, demonstrating how to use service layer orchestration to deliver a dynamic cable speed boost. Dig into the details of the proof-of-concept (PoC) architecture involving the Converged Service Management Layer (CSML), the physical network functions (CMTS and CM) and the PacketCable Multimedia (PCMM) domain controller developed at CableLabs.

2022 Virtual Press Office and Media Services
This year, Pipeline magazine will be upgrading the press office with an expanded and direct reach to technology decision makers from within the SCTE audience and Pipeline’s global audience. Legacy wire services distribute your news to mostly broadcast and newspaper media points where journalists have to be on specific topical assignments to cover your news, leading to a high degree of fall out. This year, your complete news will be directly distributed to the attendees of the event; to key technology decision makers from within Pipeline’s global audience; top stories will be featured in the Digital Show Daily, and all news will be featured on Pipeline magazine’s homepage in its news ticker, news center, and include a dedicated, full press release page. Pipeline is also a certified Google News source to amplify the visibility of your news across the web. For more information about the Virtual Press Office, Online Press Kits, and other event media services contact Pipeline, email sales@pipelinepub.com, call +1 734 707 4988 x120, or automatically schedule an event discussion with Pipeline to explore opportunities by clicking here.
