Now that 5G mobile service has rolled out throughout the globe, cable and wireless technologists are working together to craft a shared network infrastructure that can support DOCSIS, 5G, video and other applications at the network edge. Under the auspices of the CableLabs 10G Lab initiative, technologists are developing a broad converged platform that can support multiple network software stacks using a common management interface. Their goal is to enable operators to mix and match wireline and wireless services over the same core infrastructure.
How will this converged network infrastructure work? What kinds of convergence use cases are being planned? How far have cable and wireless technologists gotten in achieving their goals? What hurdles still remain in the way?
In this second-day SCTE Cable-Tec Expo breakfast forum, we will delve into the opportunities and challenges that wireline-wireless network convergence presents for the cable industry. We will explore the possibilities and pitfalls of delivering DOCSIS, 5G, video and other services over a shared network infrastructure, as well as the new converged services that could be enabled. Leading cable and wireless technologists will tackle these subjects and more as they examine where the industry is heading with network convergence.

2022 Virtual Press Office and Media Services
This year, Pipeline magazine will be upgrading the press office with an expanded and direct reach to technology decision makers from within the SCTE audience and Pipeline’s global audience. Legacy wire services distribute your news to mostly broadcast and newspaper media points where journalists have to be on specific topical assignments to cover your news, leading to a high degree of fall out. This year, your complete news will be directly distributed to the attendees of the event; to key technology decision makers from within Pipeline’s global audience; top stories will be featured in the Digital Show Daily, and all news will be featured on Pipeline magazine’s homepage in its news ticker, news center, and include a dedicated, full press release page. Pipeline is also a certified Google News source to amplify the visibility of your news across the web. For more information about the Virtual Press Office, Online Press Kits, and other event media services contact Pipeline, email sales@pipelinepub.com, call +1 734 707 4988 x120, or automatically schedule an event discussion with Pipeline to explore opportunities by clicking here.
