Description

Much like a train or metro system, the cable access journey to 10G can be traversed in one of many ways that all end up at the ultimate destination of DOCSIS 4.0 and/or PON. While many operators and vendors are focused on that final destination, this workshop will explore the actual journey, meaning the multiple “stops” operators may make along the way and their relative cost and benefit (e.g., expanded US through mid split or high split, implementation of a DAA, etc.). Operators could try to minimize the “interim” stops, but if so, how many to make and which ones exactly? Are there any “side trips” along the journey that may also be worthwhile exploring (e.g., Low Latency DOCSIS (LLD), Mobile Backhaul, etc.)? Many operators are hesitating to even start, fearing that they may choose the wrong path. This workshop will explore how to start, which stops to make, and how to make the most out of the journey, all while still getting to that desired final destination of 10G. So pack your bags, grab your train map, and all aboard! Because remember, “It’s not the destination, it’s the journey.” (Ralph Waldo Emerson)

2022 Virtual Press Office and Media Services

This year, Pipeline magazine will be upgrading the press office with an expanded and direct reach to technology decision makers from within the SCTE audience and Pipeline’s global audience. Legacy wire services distribute your news to mostly broadcast and newspaper media points where journalists have to be on specific topical assignments to cover your news, leading to a high degree of fall out. This year, your complete news will be directly distributed to the attendees of the event; to key technology decision makers from within Pipeline’s global audience; top stories will be featured in the Digital Show Daily, and all news will be featured on Pipeline magazine’s homepage in its news ticker, news center, and include a dedicated, full press release page. Pipeline is also a certified Google News source to amplify the visibility of your news across the web. For more information about the Virtual Press Office, Online Press Kits, and other event media services contact Pipeline, email sales@pipelinepub.com, call +1 734 707 4988 x120, or automatically schedule an event discussion with Pipeline to explore opportunities by clicking here.
