Description
Get ready for an engaging set of case studies and trials from operators deploying and piloting private 5G networks. Moderated by AWS’ Dr. Jennifer Andreoli-Fang, these multi-faceted and interesting cases will provide compelling guidance for operators on the lessons learned, key system requirements, use cases, design considerations, operations, and pertinent network performance KPIs.
Andy Striegler from Rogers will talk about deploying multiple private 5G networks in the mining sector in Canada, a sector which has been an early adopter of wireless technology and has been investing heavily in wireless private networks (WPNs) to enhance overall productivity, operational efficiency, and safety.
Charter’s Mohamed Daoud’s presentation will explore private 5G over a hybrid cloud, which offers a consistent experience for enterprise developers to write and deploy their applications at the edge and deep in the public cloud.
Rogers’ Amitabh Chhabra presents case studies from three different sectors--smart transportation, public safety, and healthcare, effectively showcasing convergence of several technologies such as IoT, 5G, Cloud and sensing. At Vancouver’s UBC Campus, Rogers deployed NoTraffic autonomous traffic management system. In the second project, Rogers collaborated with UBC to develop and deploy an Earthquake Early Warning (EEW) system at three sites. In their third application, the research team developed an ultrasound system which can perform a remote ultrasound operation under the guidance of an expert.
