Dr. Xin Qiu is an accomplished industry leader with more than 25 years of experience in the field of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), device and software security. She has 87 granted patents and pending applications relating to PKI and device security, highlighting the breadth and depth of her innovative work. As the Sr. Director of the PKI Center (now CommScope Sentry), she has built a multi-disciplinary team encompassing R&D, operations, program, and product line management.
Her technical expertise and strategic vision have played a pivotal role in forging successful engagements with leading domestic and international device manufacturers and network operators. She has effectively managed large-scale, customer-focused projects with a strong focus on delivering high-quality results and meeting tight deadlines.
She was appointed as a Motorola Science Advisory Board Associate for her creative and innovative technical contributions in enabling cryptographic techniques and PKI for millions of devices. Her patent for the DFAST cryptographic technology was widely adopted and utilized in the CableCard Copy Protection standard, playing a key role in combating piracy within the cable industry. Furthermore, she was one of the primary designers for the security of the Emmy-award-winning MediaCipher Conditional Access System.
Prior to her tenure at CommScope, she served as a security architect and managed software and network security teams for a few startup companies. This valuable experience has provided her with deep insights into the evolving landscape of security, allowing her to anticipate challenges and develop innovative solutions.
