It all began in 2023 when Toy Fair announced it's moved to a Fall time slot for their 2024 show; the specialty retailers in the Northeast were left without a key show for their region. NETS was formed by two Sales Representative Principals, Christine and Alan Blumberg. They were joined by Lea Culliton, former president of HABA USA. In February 2024 NETS executed the first Northeast regional show. Needless to say The Toy Association took notice and decided to move Toy Fair back to the February time slot thus NETS pivoted and is going to be held in September, a key 4th Quarter order writing, buying season for specialty.
