We are Iconeus – a Paris-based company, founded by the inventors of functional ultrasound (fUS), who have commercialized an easy-to-use fUS system for imaging cerebral blood flow and microvasculature.
Iconeus is a start-up company, founded in 2016, that has developed and commercialized a breakthrough brain imaging modality, called functional ultrasound (fUS). Using this method, and aided by our versatile suite of ultrasound probes, high sensitivity and unprecedented spatiotemporal resolution can be achieved for brain imaging of animals – even while they’re awake and moving. It can be used in numerous animal models from mice to primates under diverse experimental setups, and it can easily be combined with other neuroscience modalities. It is designed especially for neuroscientists, and our fully integrated software suite ensures that you don't waste your time on programming. A further recent advance in our technology, ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM), uses injected microbubbles to enhance signal contrast and so obtain even more detailed images (with resolution down to 5 µm), and potential for clinical applications too. Our talented Paris-based team of neuroscientists, software engineers, and ultrasound physicists remains at your disposal and is dedicated to ensuring that fUS achieves its full potential as an imaging technology.
